SEVEN people have been left homeless after a fire broke out at a care home this evening.
Fire fighters were called to The Firs in Thorpe Road, Kirby Cross in Frinton at around 6pm and rescued three people from the property who are being treated for smoke inhalation.
On arrival the officer in charge reported that the front room of the building was well alight and that the ground and first floors were heavily smoke logged.
The fire was extinguished by 6.35pm but the seven residents have been left homeless.
