A man was taken to hospital yesterday after he was pulled from the sea at Frinton.
Thames Coastguard was called at around 2.30pm after the man had been rescued from the water.
The Walton Coastguard Team and Frinton and Walton Beach Patrols were sent to the scene.
He was given first aid by the coastguard team. An ambulance spokesman said: “We were called at 2.27pm yesterday to a man who had been pulled out of the water at Frinton. One ambulance attended and took the man to Colchester General Hospital for further assessment.”
