Firefighters have tackled a chimney blaze in a Suffolk village.

It broke out around 9.10am today at a property in Church Road, Friston, near Saxmundham.

Fire engines from Aldeburgh and Leiston attended.

The turntable ladder and support pump from Colchester Road, Ipswich, were also called for but were stood down because they were not required.

A hearth kit was used to extinguish the blaze by 9.42am.
