Families flocked to the grand opening of a new £60,000 play area so they could be the first to try out the new swings and slides.
Stowmarket’s mayor, Gerard Brewster, opened the Lindsey Way play area, when he cut the ribbon. Glenn Markwell is public service manager for Stowmarket Town Council which was behind the project.
He said: “This was a fitting launch for this fantastic facility, we were able to do so much more, thanks to Viridor and Mid Suffolk District Council who also contributed funds that allowed us to deliver this investment in the children of the town.”
