This loveable lot are hoping to find a place to call home.

They currently reside at an animal shelter near Woodbridge – filled to capacity with dogs looking for owners.

Benson the Beauceron is described as a “gentle giant” by Emma White, of the Canine Welfare Rescue Centre at Pampered Pets Hotel, in Glevering.

The three-year-old black-and-tan boy would like a home with an experienced owner, preferably without young children.

Meanwhile, Rusty the collie/lurcher cross could be a “wonderful, loyal companion” to someone firm but patient.

Keyla the little cream Lakeland is still full of energy at eight years old, and loves countryside walks, but needs an experienced owner.

Roxy the Rottweiler knows all her basic training, is used to being left for periods of time during the day and travels well.

The four dogs are among those looking for new homes at the centre, which takes in strays for the district council and has never put a dog to sleep in 20 years.

“We’re currently full with some really lovely dogs but are struggling to find them homes,” said Emma.

The centre is also appealing for donations of food and blankets to help keep the dogs fed and comfortable during their stays. Voluntary walkers and foster carers for the dogs are also required.
