Further rail disruption along the Greater Anglia route over May Day Bank Holiday weekend

The main rail line between London and East Anglia will be closed again on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday as Network Rail engineers carry out more work in the Shenfield area.
There will be no trains south of Witham on Sunday and none south of Ingatestone on Monday.
On both days there will be a bus shuttle service taking passengers to London Transport’s Newbury Park station. Journey times between the region and the capital will be extended by up to an hour.
Network Rail is carrying out more overhead line work, track work, and station re-modelling as part of the Crossrail project which is due to be fully opened in 2018.
There will be a further line closure over the bank holiday weekend at the end of May – on the Sunday and Monday May 29/30.
