GOLDEN handshakes totalling £350,000 have been paid to two senior health chiefs after they were made redundant by the cash-strapped NHS in Suffolk, the EADT can reveal.

The payments - branded "outrageous" last night by health campaigners – can be revealed just days after the East Suffolk Primary Care Trusts revealed in detail how much money it will save by axing hospital beds and selling two community hospitals.
