Fury over A14 meeting snub

BUSINESSES leaders are furious after the transport ministers refused a request for a meeting about problems on the A14

Huntingdon MP Jonathan Djanogly has been told by the Department of Transport that it can not be seen to be influenced and therefore declined to discuss the matter face-to-face.

Now businesses in Cambridgeshire are urging people to lobby the government with letters venting their anger over the A14.

A �1.3billion upgrade of the road is looking unlikely after the Secretary of State for Transport, Philip Hammond, warned there would be far less money spent on new roads.
