A FINE selection of British performance cars made their way in convoy to line up on the Suffolk coast.

A fleet of Aston Martins travelled from Cambridge to Aldeburgh, where drivers and their passengers enjoyed a portion of locally-caught fish and chips by the sea.

After morning coffee and pastries, drivers of the modern classics took the wheel as the Aldeburgh Ride Out left Aston Martin dealers Lancaster Cambridge, bound for the White Lion Hotel.

The hotel’s general manager, Peter Osborne, who organised the event with Aston Martin owner and regular visitor to Aldeburgh, Richard Gordon, said: “We thought the two brands tied up fairly well and had 21 cars here on the day, which drew quite a crowd. It was impressive to see the cars lined up outside.”

The White Lion now plans to link up with Ferrari and Bentley dealership belonging to the same motor group for similar high-octane events in the new year.
