Gallery: Celebrating Christmas the Essex way

CHRISTMAS is a time for reflection - and here we are looking back at festive celebrations from the past decade.

In 2007 we photographed the swimmers at Clacton taking a dip on Christmas Day. Were you one of the brave fundraisers? Or were you seeking shelter from the wind by huddling up against the line of beach huts?

Christmas babies are always a cause for celebration and we have some born at Colchester Hospital on the big day, while firefighters have visited the children’s ward in years gone by to drop of presents to youngsters unable to spend the day at home.

If you recognise yourself in some of these nostalgic photos - not all taken at Christmas - email suffolkwebdesk@archant.co.uk and share your memories.

Upload your nostalgic Christmas photos as www.iwitness24.co.uk to be included in our Christmas Past section
