East Anglian Daily Times: Art exhibition at Acton Church.Art exhibition at Acton Church.

For the 14th year, All Saints Church in Acton has been transformed into a temporary art gallery spotlighting the talents of 48 artists from across East Anglia.

The Acton Art Exhibition & Sale of framed and unframed originals and prints is running daily until September 7, with all profits from the event going towards the upkeep of the church.

Kevin Franks, is acting as ‘artist in residence’ for the fortnight, giving daily watercolour demonstrations in the church.

Co-organiser Christine Johnson said: “It differs from other exhibitions in the area because most of those are put on by local art groups showing their own work.

“The Acton exhibition shows the work of artists from various places throughout Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex. Since opening last Saturday, £1,800 worth of work has been sold.”

The exhibition is open Monday to Saturday from 11am to 4pm and Sundays from noon to 5pm until Sunday, September 7. Admission is free.
