CANINE lovers descended on Elmhurst Park at the weekend to take part in Woodbridge’s alternative dog show.
“Woofbridge” saw dogs of all shapes and sizes compete for prizes in ten categories such as waggiest tail, the dog most suitable for the Queen and the dog that looks most like its owner.
All prizes were supplied by businesses from the town and all proceeds from the event were donated to the RSPCA.
The show also included dog health advice stands, grooming demonstrations and dog training displays for visitors.
The event, which was run entirely by volunteers, hosted an appearance from Paralympic bronze medallist archer Mike Hervey-Murray, who brought along his border terrier, Rohan. The mayor of Woodbridge, Charles Notcutt, dog handlers from Suffolk police and Suffolk Coastal District Council’s dog warden also turned out to support the show.
