Budding actors have played to a sold-out theatre with their production of Annie.
Students from Finborough School saw the lights come down as they performed at the Regal Theatre in Stowmarket.
The 80 children, aged between 8 and 11, had been preparing for the big show for the past four months.
Georgie Ross, head of performing arts at the school, said: “The children coming into this were really excited, for a lot of them it’s the first time they have performed. We have had brilliant rehearsals and the performance was sold out. We had a waiting list as well for tickets. We were not expecting that, if we had known we would have run the show for another night.”
She said that about 60 hours of work had gone into making the show.
The production was directed by Sherina Russell, who works at the school. The part of Annie was filled by 10-year-old Darcey Cunnell.
Mrs Ross said: “It’s quite a lot for the students to be on stage for an hour, it was a real challenge for them.”
