Remembrance Day was marked with dignity, solemnity and respect at Framlingham College.

An address by headmaster Paul Taylor on the importance of marking Remembrance for today’s generation was well received by pupils and visitors alike.

The banner party was provided by the Combined Cadet Force, the wreath being laid at the war memorial window by cadet RSM Ollie Hayman.

The service was beautifully accompanied by the choir, and each member of the congregation laid a poppy on the altar, one each for more than 250 Old Framlinghamians who are known to have died in the service of their country.

The final act was the laying of lilies on the altar by Framlingham College Society secretary Amanda Taylor to represent desire for peace.
