Gallery: Fun had at Woodbridge Carnival as second day’s classic car show gets underway

A procession full of colour and smiling faces paraded through a town as its carnival got underway.
Organisers of the Woodbridge Carnival believe numbers attending this year exceeded 2013’s event.
It is the second year it has been held after some around three decades when it did not take place.
Chris Harrold, is chairman of Choose Woodbridge, which organises the event held over the weekend.
“I think it has gone better than last year, we had a lot of different floats with a lot of entries who put in a lot of effort decorating them really well,” he said.
“The Queen of Haart went down really well – a take on the traditional carnival king of queen approach.”
EADT and Ipswich Star editor, Terry Hunt, judged The Queen of Haart competition which saw Mandy Hearle, who is around half-way through her 365-day charity challenge and the McCall family take home joint-honours.
Today a classic car show is taking place with some 25 vehicles on display in Kingston Field between 10.30am until 5pm.
Mr Harrold added: “I think we would like to keep most elements from this year for next. We will keep the carnival element but maybe look at alternative games and activities for the children during the day.

“Some of the stall-holders have been coming up saying it feels like an event which has been running for a lot longer than just two years. We are really quite pleased with it and do not want to change too much.”
