THE funeral of murdered Clacton teenager Jay Whiston was held at Weeley Crematorium today.
Around 300 friends and family attended the service which was relayed on speakers to those standing outside.
Tributes were paid by the 17-year-old’s best friend and parents who described him as an “angel” who will “never be forgotten.”
His coffin, coloured blue and covered with the Cookie Monster character from the TV show Sesame Street, arrived in a horse drawn carriage.
Jay Whiston was stabbed in Marlowe Way, Colchester, at a house party on September 8 and later died in hospital.
