Lifesavers gathered at Ickworth House, near Bury St Edmunds, for the first in a series of workshops organised by St John Ambulance.
It was the launch of the third annual Save a Life September campaign which involved free first aid demonstrations. They learnt how to save a life using five easy-to-follow techniques at the session on Sunday and received a free pocket-sized first aid guide.
There are seven further sessions are planned on September 7, at Asda, in Oaks Drive, Newmarket, from 10am to 4.15pm; September 12, Stowmarket Market Place, 9.30am-4.30pm, and Beccles Library, 1.30-3pm; September 14, Asda, Belvedere Road, Lowestoft, 9am-4.30pm; September 21 and 22, Henham Steam Rally, near Southwold, 10am-5.30pm on both days; and September 28, Morrisons, George Westwood Way, Beccles, 9.30am-4pm.
