THESE are the stunning images captured by an Essex photographer of his native county.

Christian Davies is showcasing his photos - a series of breathtaking landscapes and stunning seascapes from the Essex coast - at Clacton library throughout this month.

The 36-year-old began taking photos as a hobby after he suffered a serious fall from cliffs in his home town of Walton.

Mr Davies is now on the road to recovery and is hoping to make a career from photography.

Mr Davies' photos are on display for the rest of the month at Clacton library and are priced from 40 to 100.

He also has an exhibition lined up for Walton library in the summer.

There are 17 images in the exhibition for sale and have been realistically priced to make them affordable during difficult economic conditions.

Mr Davies said: “I have been quite surprised with the reaction from people who have seen the exhibition, I have had a professional photographer get in touch and said he thought they were really good photos.

“I live right on the coast so it is just a question of popping down to the seafront.”
