SUNNY weather and a vast array of delicious food and drink made Christchurch Park, in Ipswich, a popular attraction at the weekend.

The Ipswich Food and Drink Festival opened on Saturday morning and featured a range of quality local producers.

There was also a steel drum band bringing a touch of the Caribbean to the proceedings, while live cooking demonstrations kept people entertained in the various marquees.

Don Quinn, of organisers Snake in the Grass, said the weekend had been a big success, adding: “We had glorious sunshine and lots of people all enjoying great food, ranging from Polish to Ethiopian, plus of course a very strong contingent from around Suffolk.”
