Town’s biggest supporter makes his triumphant return ahead of the East Anglian derby and has already been spotted drumming up support in the town centre and invading Carrow Road.
The Blues have reached the play-offs for the first time in a decade and must defeat the Canaries in a two-legged semi-final to reach the Wembley final.
Thousands of tickets have been snapped up and Town boss Mick McCarthy has been given a huge boost after winning Tractor Boy’s full support.
In an exclusive interview with the EADT, Tractor Boy repeatedly shouted: “Come on the Town!”
Later, after calming down, he added: “Roit bah, I ’av not been seen for a while but thought I’d git orf me trackor and show my support for the boys in blue and white.

“I wanted to run on the pitch and shout ‘Let’s be ’avin you’ like that Delia chef but thought I’d save that for Portman Road!”
The first leg of the semi-final play-off final between Ipswich and Norwich takes place at Portman Road this Saturday.
The second leg at Carrow Road takes place on the following Saturday. Both games kick off at 12.15pm.
Town fan Ciro De Lellis, hairdresser at Francesco Hair Salon in St Matthews Street in Ipswich, said: “It is brilliant that Tractor Boy has given Town a massive boost before the play-offs against Norwich.
“I think he will be pivotal in the mind games that are sure to take place over the next 10 days and he could help us win the semi-final before a ball has even been kicked.
“These are two massive games and everyone here at the hair salon is backing both Tractor Boy and Mick McCarthy’s barmy army to do the business – come on you Blues!”
Liz Edwards, chairman of the Ipswich Town Supporters Club, added her support to Tractor Boy.
She said: “I remember the Star’s great ‘ploughing our way up the Premier League’ poster from 15 years ago. In fact, the poster is framed and on my wall at home.
“It would be great to rekindle those memories for those of us who lived them, but especially to give our new generation of fans their own special moment.”
Terry Hunt, EADT editor and a Town fan for nearly 50 years, said: “The return of Tractor Boy is a great boost as we prepare for two massive games against the Canaries.
“I’m confident he can inspire our boys to a famous victory.”
