HUNDREDS of people from across the region gathered at a Suffolk park to celebrate one of nature’s most versatile materials - wood.
Called Weird and Wonderful Wood, the event was held at Haughley Park in Wetherden near Stowmarket over the weekend.
The two-day showcase for all things wood featured demonstrations and workshops by more than 60 artists and craftspeople who showed off their skills and offered advice.
Demonstrations ranged from carving and sculpture to musical instrument making and lathe turning.
There was also a mobile sawmill at the event which meant visitors who brought their own trees could have it cut to size on site.
