A WOMAN who filled her Essex home with gas had to be talked out of blowing herself up by emergency service crews tonight.
The drama unfolded when the fire service were alerted to the fact a woman had turned on the gas and was threatening to light it in her property in Jaywick at 5.19pm.
Police, ambulance and fire crews went out to Aragon Close and managed to prevent her from committing suicide.
No-one was hurt in the incident and firefighters made the property safe by ventilation.
Essex Police said they had left the woman in the care of the ambulance service and were not aware of any action being taken against her.
