FIREFIGHTERS have rescued two girls stuck up a tree in an Ipswich park.

FIREFIGHTERS have rescued two girls stuck up a tree in an Ipswich park.

The pair of youngsters needed help after they climbed the tree in Broomhill Park, Sherrington Road, and were unable to get back down.

A fire crew was called to the scene at just before 4.20pm yesterday and the girls were helped to safety.

They were back on solid ground again 15 minutes after the call and it is not thought they were injured.
