Glastonbury hit by storms

TENS of thousands of festival-goers were drying out today after the Glastonbury site was hit by ferocious thunderstorms overnight.The music fans - including several hundred from Suffolk - faced traditional Glastonbury weather and some spectacular thunderstorms.

TENS of thousands of festival-goers were drying out today after the Glastonbury site was hit by ferocious thunderstorms overnight.

The music fans - including several hundred from Suffolk - faced traditional Glastonbury weather and some spectacular thunderstorms.

The weather did not seem to dampen spirits, however, as the first full day of the festival got underway with headlining performances tonight from Neil Young and Bloc Party.
