A Suffolk fire crew have extinguished a car fire in Glemsford.

Following a call at 4.38pm one appliance from Long Melford attended the scene of the accidental fire.

The crew employed one hose reel jet and used two sets of breathing apparatus to extinguish the it.

One appliance from Essex Fire and Rescue Service was also mobilised to this incident but stood down en route as it was no longer required.

All appliances were back at base at 5.40pm and the incident is closed.
