A car collided with a pillar and road sign in an Ipswich residential estate this afternoon.

Suffolk police received reports of an accident in Gleneagles Drive, in the east of the town, at around 2.20pm.

A force spokesman said the road had been partially blocked after a car collided with a pillar, suffering injuries which are thought to be minor.

There was also damage caused to the road sign and pillar.
