TOMASZ Gollob insists Jason Crump deserves to win the world title on October 17.

Gollob won the Italian round on Saturday night to go 17-points behind the Belle Vue star who is suffering from serious burns to his arm.

Said Gollob: “Seven points, maybe no problem, but 17 is too much. And Jason deserves to be World Champion. But I will do my best in Bydgoszcz on my favourite track.”

Meanwhile Poole favourite Hans Andersen is keen to be back in the Grand Prix series next season.

Andersen finished runner-up in Italy to bolster his chances of automatic qualification.

He said “I have made a lot of mistakes this year, I have had too many engines and too many tuners. And not riding in England was wrong as well. But, hopefully, that is sorted now.”
