A GRANDMOTHER who killed an off-duty police officer as she turned across a busy dual-carriageway today failed to win a cut in her jail term on appeal.
Patricia Maltby, 71, of St Peter's Court, Christopher Lane, Sudbury, was sent to prison for 16 months after she admitted causing the death of Sgt Bob Walsham, from Hadleigh, Suffolk when she crashed into him while trying to turn across the A12 at Stratford St Mary.
