A TELEGRAPH pole was damaged by a fire which also engulfed 20 metres of grass near Ipswich.
Fire crews from Princes Street station were called at 2.44pm today to Valley Farm Drive, Sproughton, where the fire had spread across an area of grass.
Firefighters were able to control the flames within half an hour.
