SEVEN people have been treated in hospital following a two car crash at an accident blackspot in Essex this afternoon.
The collision between a Fiat Punto and a Vauxhall Astra happened on Harwich Road, Great Bromley, at about 12.30pm.
Two fire crews from Colchester and one from Weeley attended the accident, along with police and paramedics.
It took nearly two hours for firefighters using hydraulic equipment to free a woman who was trapped in one of the vehicles.
The Highways Agency has just implemented road safety works on the A120 Harwich Road and Bentley Road junctions, because of the above average number of accidents there during the past five years.
