A HORSE had to be rescued this morning after it became stuck in a swimming pool.
Fire crews were called to Broxted Road, Great Easton, near Great Dunmow at 12.30am.
Appliances from Dunmow, Woodham Ferrers and Baddow attended along with an animal rescue unit.
Crews reported the horse was stuck in the shallow end of the pool.
The horse was taken out of the pool by the animal rescue unit by 2.20am and was left in the care of a vet.
