MORE than �1,000 has been raised from a weekend of fundraising events to support a church’s urgent repair work.
Almost 600 people came along to St Andrew’s Church in Great Finborough, near Stowmarket, to the Festival of Angels event.
On Friday, people had the chance to have a sneak peek inside the church and listen to light opera with the theme of angels.
The Rev Liz Law, who chaired the organising committee, said: “It was a great success, we had a huge amount of people, we sold out of all the arts and crafts. It was a great community event.”
Choirs from Combs Middle School, Finborough School and Great Finborough Primary School all performed.
