WATER has been jetting out of a series of drains near to Market Place, flooding one of Great Yarmouth’s main shopping streets with a river of water.
The incident, on the bend of King Street by the Body Shop, has seen the road cordoned off by police after water began to gush out of the ground shortly after midday today.
It is a major route for buses in the town, and vehicles are having to divert away from the incident.
At the time of writing no shops had closed, but a crowd of people had assembled beside the flood water.
The cause of the incident is not yet known.
