‘Major project work’ to close Ipswich to Felixstowe railway line

Buses will replace rail services between Ipswich and Felixstowe this evening.

Grater Anglia said the bus replacements will start from 6.50pm and last for the remainder of the day.

The company said the alteration to services was due to “major project work”, which would see the line closed.

Passengers are advised the times are subject to change.

“We recommend you check your travel details again before you make your journey,” a Greater Anglia spokesman said,
