It’s not just roads that need repairs after bad weather! Greater Anglia has spent more than £300,000 resurfacing platforms and car parks at stations across the region.
Among the stations to be repaired are Diss, Frinton, Wickham Market, Norwich, Kelvedon, Dovercourt, Brandon, Colchester Town, Lowestoft, Sudbury, and Derby Road – some stations have also had new fencing installed during their upgrades.
Simone Bailey from Greater Anglia said: “We manage 133 stations, which means we have to carry out a lot of ongoing maintenance work. We do our best to make sure the stations look as smart as possible.
“By investing in resurfacing certain areas, it has helped to make the stations safer.
“We want our stations to be bright and welcoming places, so we will continue with our plans to repaint and deep clean every station on our network.”
