Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash left a man in his 60s with serious injuries.

A red For Fiesta and green Kawasaki motorcycle collided along the B1070, Benton Street in Hadleigh, at around 12.15pm yesterday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, suffered serious fracture injuries and was taken to air ambulance for treatment at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service initially described the injuries as “potentially life-threatening” however he was later reported to have been in a stable condition.

The Fiesta driver was taken to Ipswich Hospital as a precautionary measure. Road closures remained in place until 4,20pm while a collision investigation and vehicle recovery took place.

Anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision or the vehicles travelling along the road prior to the incident taking place are asked to contact Pc Andrew Lovelock at Police Headquarters Roads Policing and Firearms Operation Unit on 101 quoting CAD 191 of July 6.
