The people of Hadleigh are being invited to attend a question time event in the town next month – with an opportunity to quiz councillors on local issues.

The leader and deputy leader of Babergh District Council (BDC) are hosting the event on Saturday, June 9 between 10am and 12pm at The Guildhall in Market Place.

The news comes soon after Hadleigh residents voted to hold a referendum proposing a mass resignation of their town councillors.

BDC leader John Ward said: “We are looking forward to meeting as many people as possible at the event and answering their questions about the council’s work and services.

“We want to start conversations with more people who live and work in Babergh about the issues which are important to them. This event is a great opportunity for us to explain more about what the council does and about our roles as councillors.”
