A WOMAN reported missing has been found safe and well after a police search operation late last night.

Sixty-year-old Rosemary Noscoe, of Chediston Street in Halesworth, was reported missing at 5.45pm yesterday when she failed to come home from the Spar shop in The Thoroughfare, Halesworth, where she was last seen at 4.40pm.

Her disappearance sparked a massive police search throughout the area, with officers out on foot and the police helicopter overhead to find the vulnerable woman, who did not have her regular medication with her.

But late last night Ms Noscoe - who disappeared once before in August 2007 - made contact with family and was found safe and well by the police helicopter in a field in Spexhall.

Suffolk Police thanked the public for their help during the search.
