Halesworth’s inaugural Day of Dance has been hailed a “huge success” after 15 teams, specialising in morris dancing, sword dancing and traditional East Anglian molly dancing, took part in various locations around the town.

Organised by the Peasenhall-based Oxblood Molly Dancers in celebration of the troupe’s 10th anniversary, the event is hoped to become an annual fixture in the calendar.

Maureen Hunter, of the Oxblood Molly Dance Group, said: “The day was a huge success. We were surprised at the turnout of dancers we were able to get on board and we will be hoping to put on the same event next year.
