One person had to be released from their vehicle by firefighters after a crash in Halesworth.

Three fire engines were called to Angel Link in Halesworth around 4pm this afternoon following a request from the ambulance service.

A female casualty of the two-vehicle collision was trapped in the vehicle and complaining of a neck injury, paramedics were administering first aid.

The crash involved a red Renault Laguna and a gold Rover 75 estate.

Firefighters cut the roof of the vehicle on one side and folded it over to allow access to the casualty, who was extricated just after 5pm and taken to hospital by ambulance.
