THE Lakeside Hammers gathered in front of a packed Raceway Tavern on Wednesday evening to celebrate last week's Knockout Cup success over Coventry.

Jonas Davidsson, Adam Shields, Lee Richardson, Kauko Nieminen and Stuart Robson turned out to the cheers and appreciation of the home fans, who had turned out in their droves to pay tribute to their heroes.

Hammers supremos Stuart Douglas and Jon Cook were also in force to say a few words about the success, with both praising the effort and determination of their riders during the 108-77 aggregate victory over Coventry.

All parties took to the mic and expressed their delight at the victory, with all members of the side praising the racing surface at Coventry that allowed them all to put on a performance that ultimately claim cup success.

The evening finished with a very successful raffle of signed pit boards and racing apparel, with the remainder of the boards to be auctioned off via the club's official website in the coming week.
