KENNETH Hansen has signed for Peterborough until the rest of the season.

Kenneth originally was signed on a short term loan to cover for the then missing Karol Zabik, but following some impressive displays both home and away the Panthers management were reluctant to release him and the club renegotiated the deal which will see Hansen stay with the Panthers.

Kenneth who joined Peterborough in April on a GSA of 3.57 is currently averaging 5.88 from his first 6 matches and is part of a reserve partnership with Claus Vissing that the Panthers think is potentially one of the strongest in the league.

Team Manager Trevor Swales said: “Although Kenneth was only originally signed on a short term deal he has been a revelation since he joined us and has bolstered our reserve position immensely. It must be remembered that he has limited EL experience and some of the tracks he will be riding for the first time, nevertheless his form since arriving has got better and better and his Showground form has been excellent”.

Promoter Mick Bratley said: “I am really pleased Kenneth is staying for the rest of the season because he has impressed me immensely with both his riding and temperament.

He is a classic case of a rider who wants to ride his home meetings on a big track, rather than the small technical tracks and the confidence he gets from home performances show in his away scores as well”.

Owner Rick Frost said: “We are pleased to confirm that Kenneth Hansen has now signed contracts with us for the remainder of this season. He has impressed us all with his performances so far and I'm confident he will prove to be a valuable member of our team for the rest of the season”.
