Harwich/Chelmsford: Two pedestrians seriously hurt in road accidents

TWO pedestrians have been rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after two separate collisions in Essex.

East of England Ambulance Service crews were called to Harwich High Street just before 1.45pm today after a man, believed to be in his late teens, was involved in an accident.

Air ambulance medics treated and stabilised the unconscious man at the scene before he was airlifted to Queen’s Hospital.

Paramedics were also called out to Parkway in Chelmsford at 12.20pm after a man was left unconscious following a collision with a car.

He was treated and stabilised at the scene before being taken by ambulance to Broomfield Hospital.
