TWO fire crews have been sent to the scene of a blaze at an Essex marina.
The fire, on a boat measuring about five metres long, was reported at just after 5pm at The Quay, Harwich.
Crews from Dovercourt and Weeley were sent to the scene after the emergency services were alerted to the fire by the owners of a yacht moored close by in front of Trinity House.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to tackle the incident, which involved propane cylinders.
The flames were extinguished by 5.40pm but crews remained at the scene to damp down the area.
A fire service spokesman said an investigation will be carried out to establish the cause of the incident.
