A lifeboat crew helped bail out a yacht which was taking on water in the River Stour last night.
The Harwich RNLI inshore lifeboat was called to assist the yacht, Alceator, following a 999 call to Thames Coastguard just before 10pm.
The yacht, which had two people and two dogs on board, was taking on water on the stretch of river near Harwich.
Water was pumped out by the lifeboat crew, who then towed them into Shotley Marina.
Walton’s Beach Patrol earlier came to the assistance of a girl who had collapsed at Walton Pier at about 3.45pm. She was taken to hospital by ambulance.
