A MAN was injured after his car rolled over after a collision in Harwich.
The smash, which involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Vauxhall Astra, happened around 2.20pm in Oakley Road.
Fire crews had to cut a man free from the Golf, which Essex Police said had overturned in the incident.
A force spokesman said the man had suffered chest and whiplash injuries but it is unclear at this stage how serious they are.
A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust said the man trapped in the Golf was reported to be conscious and breathing but suffering neck and chest pain.
A rapid response vehicle with paramedic and the air ambulance was sent to the scene and the helicopter conveyed patient to Colchester General for further assessment and care.
