FIRE crews have spent almost two hours tackling a chemical leak at Harwich International Port.
At about 7.20am this morning (April 27) the incident in Parkeston Quay was reported to Essex County & Fire and Rescue.
On arrival crews found a small chemical leak coming from a storage container.
Crews wore breathing apparatus and isolated the tank valve.
On-site staff and specialist contractors dealt with the incident with firefighters standing by.
Police officers also attended and remained at the scene until the leak was stopped.
The leak was under control just before 9.15am.
