A WOMAN has been hurt in a struggle at a dental practice in Haverhill.

The staff member was injured when a man tried to force his way into the practice in Wratting Road at about 5.40pm yesterday.

She had gone out to the bins at the rear of the building when she became aware of someone approaching from the car park behind.

The victim then went quickly back inside and as she attempted to close the door behind her, the offender tried to push it back open and force his way in.

After a brief struggle in which the staff member suffered cuts to the head when the door was pushed back against her, she succeeded in keeping the attacker out and managed to close and lock the door.

The offender is described as a white male who was wearing a hooded top.
