A man has died following a road traffic collision on the A1017 at Withersfield earlier this afternoon.
Emergency services were called just before 1:40pm to reports of a two-vehicle collision between a 4x4 vehicle towing a horsebox and a motorcycle on the Bumpstead Road.
A volunteer doctor from Suffolk Accident Rescue Service and the East Anglian Air Ambulance also attended the crash.
As a result of the collision the motorcyclist, a man believed to be in his forties, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The road was reopened just before 8pm after officers carried out initial investigations.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the serious collision investigation team on 101.
