POLICE cordoned off a road after a double decker bus started leaking oil.
When officers arrived at the scene of the incident on the A1307 in Haverhill, they discovered a puddle of oil. A spokesman said: “We were contacted by a member of the public who reported that a double decker bus had caused an oil spill. At first we closed off a small section of the road but due to it spreading we eventually closed the whole road.”
Officers closed the road off at 3.15pm today and the incident was left in the hands of the Highways Agency.
